Logos are like businesses. In the grand scheme of things,
a relatively small number are memorable. An even smaller number will
be unforgettable. Most likely your logo will not set the world on fire.
Yet it should still be effective in conveying the principles of your
brand. Be sure it meets a few criteria.
1.It should be simple and memorable (not be dated) with the intention of being effective for years to come.

2. It Should Portray the values and goals of your company.
Consider the Obama campaign logo. Red, white and blue symbolizes America- Freedom, Justice, etc.
Notice the background. A sun rising to represent a new day. The curved lines give forward motion- symbolizing
progressiveness.
3. The design should be versatile enough to go from business card to letterhead to billboard. That means size can be
easily scaled up or down, depending on the specific use. Limited, but effective, use of color saves on reproduction costs.
A good logo is ready to be in unimagineable places.
